Welcome Back from LCHS Principal Jackie Luzak

In an email from La Cañada High School Principal Jackie Luzak, the new principal explains the new STEP schedule, shares about the progress of the construction, and welcomes back both parents and students:

Welcome back to a new school year! The staff has been busy preparing for the arrival of our students on Tuesday, August 31. All of us are looking forward to another outstanding year.

HS registration will take place on Thursday, August 19 for Seniors, Friday, August 20 for Juniors, Monday, August 23 for Sophomores and Tuesday, August 24 for Freshman. Registration times are from 8:00 – 12:00. Please be sure to print and bring all forms to your designated registration day.

STEP/Homeroom will continue this year, with a few implementation adjustments. STEP classes will be offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays only. Students will register for either one STEP or one Homeroom and will remain in that class for both days. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays the minutes previously allocated to STEP will be redistributed into the six teaching periods. Please click here for the bell schedule.

The construction trailers and bungalows have finally been removed. Classrooms in the A building have been renovated and updated to support the latest technology. The restrooms in the center of campus are new and larger and the auditorium has received a complete face lift. When you have the opportunity to be on campus, please take some time to check out the improvements.
