Descanso Gardens recovers quickly from devastating windstorm
Descanso Gardens estimates a loss of more than $30,000 in revenue after the windstorm. The garden was closed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-3, because of full-scale cleanup efforts and the lack of electrical power. Horticulture and facilities staff focused on safety-related efforts in order to open on Sunday, Dec. 4, with limited hours and limited access. Read more here.
Federal disaster center opens in Pasadena

LCF float group offers Rose Parade, Rose Bowl tickets

Windstorm could have been worse

But when she awoke four hours later, she realized she would not be going to her office that morning, as a massive tree uprooted by the storm had fallen across the road, blocking the only exit from her cozy neighborhood. Festival in Lights prevails days after windstorm
